Delay when search-as-you-type is enabled

Running from source, if any matter.

I've noticed that when search-as-you-type is enabled, there's a bit of a delay when pressing enter after the search term. If I disable the option, there's no lag. Is this a known issue?

I dont see any delay. Immediately after pressing enter I get the green mark aroudn the search box, indicating the search was performed.

I did some testing and to make things even more confusing this only really occurs when I'm running from source. I'm not going to try to figure this out.

By the way, just an extra confirmation that this is related to running from source; I switched to source version again and the lag returned. So I just turn off search-as-you-type until I return to stable.

I'm thinking its just one of those weird gremlin things specific to my OS environment.
