Can't get Calibre to open on new monitor/dock setup
Hi all,
I'm a frequent Calibre user. But started noticing a problem today when I tried running it on my new monitor/dock setup. I can't get Calibre to open at all. I most frequently use the ebook editor, but the viewer and main program won't open either. When I attempt to open a file or the program itself, nothing happens. The only way I can get it to work is by unplugging my laptop from the dock. For some reason then it opens. I've seen other people with similar issues solve this because the program was open and just hidden. That would make sense, but I'm not seeing anything on the taskbar or in Task Manager. So it doesn't seem like it's open at all. Here's my debug info. Thanks for any help! calibre 6.29 embedded-python: True Windows-10-10.0.22621-SP0 Windows ('64bit', 'WindowsPE') ('Windows', '10', '10.0.22621') Python 3.10.1 Windows: ('10', '10.0.22621', 'SP0', 'Multiprocessor Free') Interface language: None |

@theducks. I've tried cascading but the window doesn't seem to be open. The only way I can get it is if I disconnect my laptop entirely and then open it, which makes it seem like this should be the case, but I see no indication that the program is open anywhere.
@BetterRed, the dock is a Wavlink USB-C dual 4K Universal dock. Attached is two monitors—one Dell and one Sceptre, a Corsair k70 keyboard, and a Logitech G502 mouse. Drivers are updated for all. Thanks both for your help! |
