Connecting Kobo to Calibre through wifi without cable?
I recently got a new M1 MacBook and cannot connect to my kobo. While I wait for the USB 2.0 hub that I bought, I was wondering if there is a way to transfer my calibre library to the kobo without using the cable at any point, or if by setting it up on a windows computer and somehow getting it to work with the library in the MacBook. I want to sync with the MacBook calibre library, but it will not recognize the device at all.

@sherman's Kobo UNCaGED should work.

This has been discussed in the last few days, and thread is still on the first page: Connect aura one to Calibre by Wifi.

I've read your other post, and wish I had a better solution for you. I can imagine you must be frustrated. Have you called Kobo? What advice did they give you, if you did? I haven't used the uncaged utility, but there is another solution that might be easier for you since you already have Calibre set up. You could turn on the library server in the prefs. This is basically a web server on your home network that gives you wireless access to your library. Just be sure to add "/mobile/" to the end of the url of your library in the Kobo's web browser. It works better that way. The downside is that you can only download one book at a time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro |
