next chapter / prev chapter
I frequently read books on my smart phone by accessing Calibre Server from Chrome to find the book and download it to the phone, then using the touch interface to read the book - touch or swipe right for next page, touch or swipe left for prev page, touch center top for menu to get to TOC or preferences.
This works quite well for me, except for one aspect of the interface - swiping up goes to next chapter, swiping down goes to previous chapter. Because of the size of the phone (and my clumsy fingers), I from time to time get next chapter rather than next page. If I was in a 20 page chapter, finding the page I was on is a pain. Is there any way to disable next/prev chapter? |

I would simply go back by swiping from the edge or using the Back button. Does it work with you?

nqk, you are correct, sort of.
I am using Chrome on an Android smartphone so full screen works and I always use it. If I do next chapter, then hit the back button, first it exits full screen, hit back button again, goes back to previous position (remaining not full screen), then go to menu, return to full screen, which is quicker than paging to where I was. If I am not in full screen, then it appears back button once takes me back to where I was. If I do prev chapter, then hit the back button, first it exits full screen, hit back button again, exits book. Re-enter book, goes to where it was, at beginning of chapter, doesn't help. If I am not in full screen, then it does same as above. Since it is usually next chapter I screw up with, this helps, so thanks. |

use the back button in the viewer controls, no need to exit fullscreen.
