				Pages left in chapter

			Hi!

There's an option in moon reader+ app for android that shows you how many pages are left in the current chapter, very useful to know how long it will take me to finish the chapter. Is there a similar feature in calibre viewer or any intention implementing it in the future? |

2 issues, though: 1. Some chapters it increments every page by 3.9/15, others by 4.9/32, I don't understand how it works. It won't be better if it was like, page 1/10, then, next page, page 2/10, instead of 3.9/15, then, next page 7.8/15? 2. The "time to read chapter" option takes so much time to calculate, I was reading for 1 hour and the message "calculating..." was still showing, when it finally start showing the minutes left in the chapter, when I turned the page, the minutes left didn't change. If the user could have the option to input the time per page manually, it would be very helpful. |

			There are no real PAGES.

The count is of Screens (at the current font size), that is why fractions. The ordinal is more of a reference (standard font page - word count) |

Yes, I understand. I just want to know how many times I'll have to press page down before the next chapter starts, so I'll have a better idea of how much time it will take me to finish the chapter, then I'll decide if I continue reading the chapter or not.

well it should be fairly easy to add a "number of columns left in chapter" value for the header/footer in addition to all the other. Open a bug report for it, so I dont forget.

I know that it needs data to calculate, and in Paged mode it takes longer to collect this data, but maybe, it could start showing from 3 pages read, for example, and then adjusting as the user keeps reading. |

Yes, it was quicker, it took 30 minutes to calculate. Sometimes I like to take a look ahead of the book, therefore turn the pages very quick and calibre miscalculates as if I was reading very fast. If you had the option to input the time per page manually would be much faster and accurate. Calibre could multiply the time it took you to read a page by the number of pages the chapter/book has.

Another problem is that every time you open the same book it starts calculating again. |
