How to deal with DRM?

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and to Calibre. I've installed it on my server (linuxserver/calibre) and I wanted to start adding the books I purchased on my library.

One of them was bought directly from the publishing company, which gives an .acsm file. I installed Adobe Digital Editions on my laptop (not the server), I've activated it, and then accessed the .epub file.

I've then moved it on the server (where Calibre runs), and it was imported correctly.

The problem is that whenever I doubleclick on the book, I get a DRM error. I've tried using the DeDRM plugin, but it complains it's missing a key file.

I am really out of ideas, I've looked up online but at this point I am really confused on how to move forward.

I hope some of you can help me understand how the pipeline is meant to work.

Thanks

You need to liberate it BEFORE moving it

Thank you for the help! I'll read the guidelines, sorry!

I've checked the Apprentice Af's instructions, but I can't find the info for Calibre running on a Linux machine (it says to check the readme, but there's nothing there).

Anyway, if you have extra pointers feel free to DM me, thanks again!

Go to Apprentice Af' and post your questions there. What OS is your laptop running?
