content_server_will_display not working?

Hello all.

I'm hoping someone can help me please. I am running Calibre 4.15 running on a Mac Mini (Mojave).

Even though I have the settings as shown in the screenshot "settings.pdf", when I restart calibre, log into the server via localhost in Safari, or Firefox, the custom tags are still there when the search icon is clicked (please see browser.pdf").

Is this a bug or is my syntax incorrect?

You appear to have spelled #source as #souce is that intentional?

Thank you so much for your reply. It is appreciated that you have taken the time to help me.

Yes, there was a spelling mistake but unfortunately, that is not the problem. Prior to this post, I had been mucking around for about two hours trying to get this to work.

I have now tried to prevent four of my user defined tags from showing up when the search icon is clicked, but have failed miserably.

Please see the three screenshots. I have included (a) a screenshot of the column definitions; (b) a screenshot of the tweak settings and (c) a screenshot of the tags that appear when the search icon is clicked in the browser (I have emptied the caches of both the Safari and Firefox browsers that I am using multiple times).

As you can see, it does not seem to be working for me. I hope you can suggest something that I can try.

Hi again.

I've gone back into the Tweaks section, and have realised that the tweak for "set cusom metadata fields that the Content server will or will not display" is no longer in the left hand column.

I clicked on the "Plugin tweaks" just above the Apply button in the tweaks panel and I can see my tweak settings there in a window titled "Plugin tweaks". It says that I can "Add/edit tweaks for any custom plugins you have installed".

Has this changed in calibre or have I inadvertently installed something that now controls this tweak?

Also, I did submit a ticket as you asked me to. I was wondering whether I get notification when the ticket is closed or do I need to check back on the website?

That tweak does not work and has been removed. See the bug report you opened.
