How do I disable page flipping with the scroll wheel/touchpad
How do I disable page flipping with the scroll wheel/touchpad

I checked the Scrolling Behavior in the Preferences but it wasn't listed there.

My problem is that accidentally scrolling on my touchpad scrolls multiple pages. I never use the touchpad to scroll anyway because it's really difficult to control so I'd rather have this disabled.

In paged mode you can only scroll by flipping pages. If the mouse wheel did not do that, it would do nothing.

To make it clear, I'd like to disable all actions with the touchpad. I don't want the touchpad to flip pages.

get the latest touchpad driver and install it. Then install a wireless mouse. With the touchpad driver configure it to turn off the touchpad when the mouse is active. Problem with the touchpad solved.

I'm afraid I am not going to add a setting to disable an input device, that kind of thing should be done at the operating system level, not in individual applications.

That's an OS feature. Real touch pads can be disabled in at least Windows and Linux (most versions), and sometimes also on the hardware setup screen. Some touchpads are not so real and seem to emulate a mouse. On windows under Devices you'll see two mice (mouses?), disable one and see if it's the real mouse or the touch pad. You can navigate via keyboard if you mess up.

Some OS also allow disabling touchpads while typing, if they are using a Touchpad driver, that won't work for ones that emulate a USB HID mouse.
