advanced Search error
When selecting the 'Title/Author/Series' tab in the advanced search window & entering nothing to search for and then clicking 'Cancel' or the X to close the window, Calibre seems to get in an endless loop until either the 'Advanced' or the 'Date searches' tab is clicked, then one is able to cancel or x out of that window.

Working OK here, same version of Windows Pro 64 bit, and 64 bit Calibre 4.6.

I must be doing it 'wrong'
When I press Tab in Author the keyboard focus moves to Series, if I click Cancel (or press Escape) dialogue closes. BR |

I too can replicate this by following the steps outlined above. Clicking either the "Cancel button" or the "X" at the top of the box will generate the "unhandled exception" error, switching to the "Advanced Searc" or "Date" tab will allow the box to be closed.

Got it
If I start in the first (Advanced searches) or third (Date searches) tab, and then switch to second tab (Title, Author, Series...) I get the problem, but if I start in the second tab (because that's what I used last) I don't. theducks reference to 'switch to Author Tab' confused me. Added: The same behaviour is apparent in 3.48, but not in 2.85.1 BR Last edited by BetterRed; 12-14-2019 at 10:06 PM. |

![]() I use the word Tab in my descriptions, to mean those at the top for those folk who are not experienced. I probably would use Tab key, for keyboard use, but too many have a death grip on their rodent or have switched to touch ![]() |
