Calibre reader and viewing/reading books
I have been using Calibre on my Windows 10 machine for a few years with no issues. When there is a book I want to read it would automatically open up in the Calibre Reader.
I just install the Calibre 64bit e-book program on this new pc running windows 11 pro and was finally able to figure out how to move my library to this new pc. I wanted to read a book today and it opened up, but the book is opening in Adobe Acrobat instead of the Calibre e-book viewer. How do I get the books in my library to open in then calibre e-book viewer (and just leave other .pdf files on my computer to open with Adobe Acrobat or whatever .pdf program I choose to use in the future? Thank You. |

With the book highlighted, touch or click the arrow next to the view button on the main tool bar. touch or click view with Calibre E-book viewer. I use an external viewer, so I use this method when I want to use Calibre Viewer.

Its odd that I did not have to do this step when using windows 10. Anyway, when I go to preferences > behavior there is no option for use internal viewer.
I guess I am going to have to click on the book and then right click and select view and then select to view with calibre e-book reader. Thank You

The fact that it is isn't on your new computer is probably because you didn't transfer the calibre configuration folder to your new PC. BR |
