Calibre reader and viewing/reading books
I have been using Calibre on my Windows 10 machine for a few years with no issues. When there is a book I want to read it would automatically open up in the Calibre Reader.

I just install the Calibre 64bit e-book program on this new pc running windows 11 pro and was finally able to figure out how to move my library to this new pc.
I wanted to read a book today and it opened up, but the book is opening in Adobe Acrobat instead of the Calibre e-book viewer.

How do I get the books in my library to open in then calibre e-book viewer (and just leave other .pdf files on my computer to open with Adobe Acrobat or whatever .pdf program I choose to use in the future?

With the book highlighted, touch or click the arrow next to the view button on the main tool bar. touch or click view with Calibre E-book viewer. I use an external viewer, so I use this method when I want to use Calibre Viewer.

Its odd that I did not have to do this step when using windows 10. Anyway, when I go to preferences > behavior there is no option for use internal viewer.
I guess I am going to have to click on the book and then right click and select view and then select to view with calibre e-book reader.

The default setting for Preferences->Behaviour->Use internal viewer for->PDF is unchecked, and it has been that way since at least version 0.8.4 (first Windows portable) - so you must have checked it at some time.

The fact that it is isn't on your new computer is probably because you didn't transfer the calibre configuration folder to your new PC.
