Advanced Search - Tab
I use advanced search to look for titles or author.
Before 3.34, 1 tab was need to move to the Title field, and 2 tabs for the Author field. After 3.43 the tabs required are now 3 and 4 respectively. I hoped this latest update would take care of it but it didn't as id did some years ago when the same thing happened. By the way. It would be great if the last chosen field could be remembered in the Advanced Search window and the text highlighted just as it is when selecting the advanced search bar. I almost always look for authors, and i have to double tab every single time. Thanks, once again, for the great job, Madeleine |

After a fresh start on 3.44, I have to hit 4 and 5 Tabs to get to the Title and Authors fields respectively. However, after a fresh start on 2.85.1, I have to hit 2 and 3 Tabs to get to the Title and Authors fields respectively. If I watch where the highlight lands after tabbing, it looks like the Tab Order has been changed, on 2.85.1 it's - OK->Title/Authors/Series...->Title. And on 3.44 it's - OK->Cancel->Kind of Match->Title/Authors/Series...->Title. But the accelerator keys work - e.g. if you're on the 2nd panel, Alt+A will get you to Authors. The selection values entered into Advanced Search are retained within a session, but they're not retained across sessions - apart from which panel (Advanced, Title/Authors/Series..., Date). However, the Search history does retain the last several search expressions across sessions, including those created by Advanced Search. BR |

Yes, I am sure about the number of tabs.
The two extra tabs at the beginning don't highlight anything. I have a Mac. Accelerator keys work only on Windows. |

Thanks.
Turns out the 4 tabs behavior happens on the MacBook Air, but today I discovered not on the iMac. |
