Online chess, backgammon, go, scrabble etc?
Is there any software that allows you to play online board games against other people via the kindle paperwhite? I just would like to pick which game I'm playing then see the board and a little info like how long I have to move, opponent ranking etc. It would be brilliant if I could try a few moves for either side. No need for the kindle to be able to play the games. Brilliant if the software could simply switch between different games so I could seamlessly go from chess to scrabble etc.

Only a few of the older model Kindles were able to do "active content" (i.e. games). However, there is a rudimentary web connection possible ("experimental browser" in the full 'gear' menu) so if there was a web site which had the games, it might work. Most people find that web browser painfully slow.

You can also have a look to these java script games that run locally on the experimental browser.

Sorry for the late reply. I seem to have stopped getting notifications. I was more after something that would interface with the internet chess server so I could just see the state of the current games I was playing and make a move back. It wouldn't require much processing power or use up much battery life.
