Question Right side margin cutting of words

I'm having problems with my Glo HD not using word wrap correctly on some ebooks (imported through Calibre w/o any specific addons afaik), making some words only being displayed in half. I have tried various settings pertaining to margins et.c. but it does not seem to solve the issue. I can't recall having this problem until recently, so I'm not sure if it's a setting or strange format of some recently imported books (mainly epub). What am I missing..?

Example:

Thanks in advance for any help,
TS

I'm betting your software is patched to use full screen mode. If so, there's this thread: Kobo Touch - right hand margin cut off

That is resolved by this post: Work-arounds for kepub problems in full-screen mode

It comes from the book's stylesheet:

Quote:
If the kepub book's stylesheet has non-zero margin or padding on the body element, then the text is shifted to the right, possibly resulting in text being cut off at the right hand side.
If you update to the latest firmware, Kobo Firmware 4.12.12111, full screen is officially supported and that's likely the easiest way to fix the issue.

Hope that's of help.

Yes, I found that adding the setting for fullscreen (not a patch as such) would only work for a while and then the right margin would be chopped. So I turned it off. H2O original.
It works OK now with the last Firmware released (Kobo Firmware 4.12.12111) which adds Display Footer and Display Title to reading settings. The previous setting to enable a "fullscreen" setting on GUI now ignored.

Great, updating to the newest SW solved the problem. Thanks a lot! (I thought I had the newest SW since Calibre asks me about updating from time to time, but I guess that wasn't the case. This time I let the Glo HD update itself..)

I think Calibre only updates Calibre to the latest version. I don't believe it monitors your Kobo's software.

If you have davidfor's Kobo Utilities installed, it will check for new firmware and handle the download and copy to your Kobo.
