Password protection of Boox Note

I need to password protect my Note.

How do I do that?

There’s no way to do that right now. A firmware update is in the works that will add this functionality. (No firm release date yet, as far as I know, but based on what others in this forum have said, should be soon.)

The only way currently to do this effectively is by encrypting the device and settings a pin on boot.

To do this go to the link, download and run the apk file which will allow you to use the full(er) set of Android settings, do to Security, Encryption, Encrypt device, follow instructions, don't forget your pin number.

RelaunchX https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=284418 can setup a pincode on the Max2, if you accept it to be the default launcher.

Go to this thread and update your Note:

Once I updated my note with that update, I've got PIN working.

Doesn't work for me. I tried it and it said it was invalid or something.

EDIT: IGNORE... It seems it didn't finish downloading.
