[Android] scrolling the booklist with the group open?
Hopefully I'm not missing something obvious :-)
When I have a group "open", I'd like to ALSO be able to scroll the book list - see the attached screenshot. In this case the group list ("Series" in the example) will scroll, but the book list for the selected series will NOT scroll. Is this possible (or is it a feature request?). FYI, this is CC running on Android 6.0.1 on a Lenovo tablet Thanks! Dan |

Sorry, but no. This is a basic limitation of the Android widget we use for the grouping drawer. If the drawer is open then the book list/grid is locked.
However, if you close the grouping drawer, scroll the book list, then reopen the drawer you should see the same content in the drawer. You get sort-of what you want with two extra horizontal swipes. |

Darn . . . thanks!
In a perfect world I would also be able to open the book with the grouping drawer open . . . . so that the whole thing was behaving like a File Manager window - I guess that's just wishful thinking :-) The scrolling in the book list works exactly as suggested - thanks for that hint! Dan |

Try running CC in landscape, with the CC Settings /Grouping drawer / Leave grouping drawer open checked. It is possible that the book list will be scrollable/usable in that case.

Charles -
THAT works, thanks! The tablet I'm using is an 8" Lenovo (running 6.0.1). The book list is both scrollable and usable in landscape mode. Interesting side note: When I turn the tablet back to portrait mode (with"Leave grouping drawer open" checked) there are two different behaviors: - If I haven't scrolled or used the book list in landscape mode, switching to portrait mode leaves the grouping drawer open and the book list locked. - If I HAVE scrolled it (even if I haven't selected a book), then when I switch back to portrait mode, the grouping drawer gets closed; swipe right opens it again. Whatever the underlying android widget is, that's some unusual behavior ;-) Dan Last edited by drawson1; 03-02-2018 at 06:49 AM. |
