No plot synopsis

Suddenly when I download metadata there is no plot synopsis from any source. This has happened on several different books, so it seems unlikely that it's just that there isn't a plot available for a specific book. I installed the newest Calibre (2.83) and it's still an issue. I'm running Windows 10. There isn't an error message or anything and all the other metadata is downloading fine.

What plot synopsis, as far as I know none of the builtin calibre metadata download plugins get plot synopses. It would help if you gave us an example of a book as well as a link to the webpage from which you expect the plot synopses to have been downloaded.

What metadata sources are configured for 'Comments'
In the Metadata Editor, at the bottom: Configure Metadata sources (a button)

Thank you, theducks! Comments were selected in the general metadata configuration, but had somehow gotten turned off in the Amazon metadata plugin configuration. Everything is working again.

Gremlins!
A number of us have had a SINGLE setting change for no apparent reason.
The time frame, is over 10 years, so rare, that it would be near impossible to capture the event, let alone, hav Kovid pull hair, looking for a reason .
