If you missed the Open Road freebies...many now at $0.99
If you missed the Open Road freebies before the holidays (I hope you didn't), there appear to be a whole lot of Open Road titles now at $0.99 at Amazon US. A lot are the same as were free before - I haven't had time to look in detail yet.

Just with a quick look, I spotted most or all of the Masao Masuto series by Howard Fast writing as EV Cunningham (and a bunch of other Howard Fast titles), non-fiction by Ernle Bradford, mysteries by Joseph Hansen, sci-fi by Barbara Hambly, romance by Elizabeth Mansfield, and a bunch of others. Clearly $0.99 is not as good as free, but if you're kicking yourself for missing a title or two, you might check and see if they might be on sale now.

I'm not going to try to give links - I think you just need to explore. Also, it's especially hard to sort the $0.99 sale titles from the always $0.99 public domain titles that Open Road puts out...

I would love to know how to sort out the PD titles other than by price!

I've also spotted a few Brett Halliday westerns (sadly, no Michael Shayne mysteries), a few Peter Bowen Yellowstone Kelly titles, a few Mr. Moto titles by John P. Marquand, a bunch of Susan Dunlap titles. Not nearly as comprehensive (by an order of magnitude or more) as the freebie-fest, but I did find one title I wanted that I had somehow missed back then, and was pleased to buy it. Somehow I don't mind giving Open Road some money .

3) PD titles (which are totally free) appear to end on page something-or-other. (They end around pages 6-7.

Sadly, there are also a lot of Open Road PD titles at $0.99, and they get mixed in with these sale titles at $0.99...

It's easy to get rid of the freebies with &price=099-099, but I don't know how to sort out the $0.99 PD titles.

I don't know that there is any way to exclude all the PD titles, but they are easy to spot by the covers. also, click on "Kindle eBooks" on the left menubar and you can then pick by genre
