Auto Add Books

Hello,

So I started using the automatic add books folder. But more often than not it doesn't add the books. I have no clue why.
Any thoughts?

Check if they have the read only attribute set - IIRC that will prevent them being posted

There's a newish feature in Preferences->Add books that will filter books based on file name - eg you may have it set so that it ignores certain file types - the default is no filters.

That you did not bother to give us any useful details

like what EXACT files are not being added
Are they being ignored (remain in the auto add folder)

OH and the traditional Biggie.

OS and Calibre version number

I gave no details because I'm not sure what to give. I add various book types pdf epub mobi. If I add less than 20it usually works anything more than that nothing happens.

I can add no more than 45 at a time! Anymore than that it doesn't work. That seems way to Little.

Auto add is not meant for adding large numbers of books simultaneously. Use the regular add books for that.

Auto add adds books in a background process, to avoid disrupting your normal usage.
It is much slower -- maybe it simply hasn't processed those books yet?
