What determines if an ebook is News

I am downloading news via recipe scripts so I don't have to have the Calibre UI always open. I add the tag News to each of them yet in the web content server I do not see a News icon. How do I get it to show up?

It also has to have author calibre and tag tag should be News in whatever language if the language for the User Interface.
