Also, we've previously received the 1st in the original Bay City series a long time ago, Oleander House, in case you think you might want to start there to get a feel for the background.

Because IIRC I might have read a short story or other giveaway from this author which I liked, so it's nice to see more free stuff officially offered to try out.

And even if it wasn't her, then it's still nice for anyone who enjoyed the original 1st-in-series freebie to get a full follow-up novel in a series they might have really liked, as well as something which gives a bit more variety with more "classic" paranormal psychics and spooky hauntings than than the more popular witches, werewolves, and vampires which now dominate and comprise most of our offerings in the subsubgenre.
