Touch Problems with Kobo Touch

Hello!

I have few problems with my device:

1. All of my books are showed as "1% read", "unread" or "finished". Real reading progress is not displaying.
2. How can I use dictionary with tapping on the words? I saw this function in June (or May) updates, but I can't turn it on

3-rd problem: i can't read books from device on Kobo Desktop.
Book don't appear in program after syncing.

What firmware do you have? This was a problem for a while, but it seems to be fixed now. Or at least, I can see 33% for a book on my rarely used Touch.

It isn't a tap, it is a long press. Pressing on the word for about a second should do it. The menu and dictionary will display.

The desktop application should sync from the Kobo server. Anything on the device should also sync to the applications library. I haven't seen this not work. But, it probably means there is something wrong with the database the application uses. I would suggest signing out of the account and then back in. This will remove the database and books and download them again.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but with regards to the sentence that I've bolded in the quote above, what does that mean? Are you saying that sideloaded books on the device should be syncing back to my PC from the desktop app? Which "applications library" are you talking about?

No, I mean the desktop application uses the same logic to sync books to its library as the device. Hence, if you sync the device over WiFi and then start the desktop app, you should have the same books in both places. And the books should have the same reading status in both places.

Only kepubs will be synced and only those that come from the Kobo shop. Sideloaded books are not touched by the syncing or the desktop application.

I probably should add that I don't use the desktop application much. The main reason I use it is if I do a factory reset as I prefer it for doing the setup. The above is how it was working in the past, it might have changed, but I don't think so.
