T68: How can one tell if backlight is or off in daylight?

When I use the T68 under broad daylight and using Moon Reader, how do I know if the backlight is on or off?

I want to turn off the backlight, but I have no idea if it's even on or not because it is impossible to see under the sunlight.

I just open the backlight option and check if it's on or not...

It's part of the options of the (built-in) reader app I use. You can also long-press the button on the bottom to turn on and off the light. The light outside must be very bright to not see the difference then...

I know about those facts.

But I am asking how can I access backlight option from Moon reader?? If not, I have to access from the home screen?

Is there no option from the top status bar?
