NookBooks on Kobo?

Hi, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for in the search. I have a bunch of NookBooks because I owned a few nooks in the past. My STR died a while ago and I never replaced it. I decided to get a Kobo since I am in Canada and I didn't want to wait. I see that Nook took away the ability to download my nookbooks which I used to like because I could use it on Aldiko on my phone. I was told at Chapters that NookBooks will work on my kobo but I am guessing now they won't. Has anybody here found a way around this or am I beat?

Hi, Care,

If you read through the most recent posts in the (lengthy) thread below, you can get an idea of a strategy to "liberate" your Nook ePubs:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=246519
"B&N removed download option on all books in "My Nook" library."

You will need to download and install the Nook Study program, Calibre and the latest version of Apprentice Alf's tools (which have been updated to incorporate/extract the Nook Study Key, if I understand correctly).

I can't guarantee that this method will work because I haven't tried it myself. (I stopped purchasing eBooks from B&N last Fall when they started changing the DRM key(s)).

HTH and Good luck.

Thanks. I did find that thread and read the first pages and last, but I didn't see that method. I will try to read more of it when I get some time.
