Download metadata not working

I keep getting no matches found, even on books that I already have found matches. I just installed 2.31. Additionally I just tried another computer with a different version of Calibre. Downloading metadata does not work there either. Is there an easy way for me to find out of the database that Calibre accesses is down?

What metadata sources do you have configured? Do the job logs show any errors?

I have just used the standard MD sources. It worked until yesterday, then just stopped working. As I have said, my other laptop, with an older version does not work either. I was wondering if there was a standard problem with the whole MD DB.

2 devices:

Same Network (ISP)?
Using Same A/V software?

NOT using THE SAME Network share/Cloud based Library?

BTW What is your problem author-title?
It may only be in one of the default sources and that one is now down (or broken)

FWIW -- the job logs would show messages indicating internet connectivity errors, or no-results-found errors, or invalid site structure, or what have you.

Problem Fixed in Metadata

I was told by the developer of Calibre to check my firewall settings. For some reason, Norton had changed it. Instead of auto for Calibre I changed it to on and it now works. Thanks for all your great input.
