Save as static Html gallery ?
Hi
Is it possible to save selected books as a sttaic html gallery page with nice layout and thumbnails? So that I can just put it on a server and open for download? I know there is the internal server and couple other server solutions but that is overkill for my needs. I just need this once in a while for couple books. thanks |

You could use the Firefox extension EPUBReader.

Use calibre2opds, which IIRC also exports as HTML, not just OPDS.

Kovid -- the OP seems to want a read-it-online solution, similar to the HTML format offered in the Baen Free Library, and other places.
i.e. unpack the book and run the resources through a server-side reader framework. calibre2opds is a fine option for a static... catalog. |

The ZIP output from calibre does just that, though you have to unzip it manually.

What about navigation? The Baen thing used iframes for each chapter and had a navbar on the side.
EPUBReader is a much more elegant solution, it Just Works. |

IIRC it handles navigation just fine, try it and see. And at least to me the OP seems to be requesting an HTML catalog. Quoting:
"Is it possible to save selected books as a sttaic html gallery page with nice layout and thumbnails?" I dont see what use thumbnails would be for an individual book. |

Hi
What I am asking is a simple Html page (based on selected books in Calibre) that has clickable thumbnails on the html page to download the corresponding book. I will look into the recommended solution. thanks |
