H2O Screen has texture-like looks?
Hi all. My H2O just arrived today. One thing I noticed is that the screen looks like it has some kind of texture if I look carefully enough. Please see the attached picture. Does your H2O or other Kobo device have this too? I don't remember seeing this on my PW1 I sold a couple weeks ago or the Voyage I returned just recently, but maybe it was just me wasn't paying attention. Or this is one of the issues and I should ask for a replacement?

THB it doesn't bother me that much since a real paper has texture too but once I noticed it's kind of hard to ignore.



Edit (after Geoff reply): To clarify, I'm not talking about the texture felt by touch, but the "looks" of the screen looks like it has texture.

My Glo has a slightly paper-like texture to the screen, more so when it was new, it seems to have become smoother with use. (Perhaps I just got used to it.) I can feel it more if my skin is very dry, but I can't see it.

Thanks for the reply Geoff. I think I used the wrong word to descript it. It's not that the screen has some kind of texture that I can feel by touching it, but it "looks" like it has a texture. If I look closed enough, the screen seem to have faint grey dots evenly distributed all over the screen. Is this normal?

i've noticed the same thing on my h2o. My old sony t1 didn't use to have this. It kind of makes the screen appear less white on the h2o.

All I see is not perfect even white screen because of bright room or camera light reflection and maybe slightly darker at bottom of screen. Looks good to me.
Read a book on it for a few hours getting into story plot to stimulate your imagination and stop looking for absolute screen perfection.
