Frozen after disconnect

Help! I connected my Glo to refresh collections. I got an error from Calibre "cannot communicate with device." So I disconnected using Calibre, and unplugged the USB. It is still stuck on the "connected and charging" black screen. I have tried to pin hole reset numerous times.

What can I do?

(The power slider doesn't work, which occurred after I opened the device and swapped out the card. )

I can't open it because I can't turn it off.

Suggestions?

Have you tried holding the light switch down while you do the pinhole reset? It's the hardware factory reset procedure but using the pinhole reset instead of the power button.

So press and hold the light button, trigger the pinhole reset, wait until the LED starts flashing rapidly and release the light button. Hopefully, after the factory reset, you should be back in business.

Good luck!

Thanks, so far, no LED response, no change in the screen.

The computer sees it as NS Blank CODEX. Which I take is a very bad sign. I may have to crack it open and put the original card back in.

ETA I'm writing the original image to a new card and I'll try that. Can't turn it off, unless it already is off, so nothing to lose, really.

And she lives! *phew* The new card did the trick. Now to update, it's on 3.4.1!
