Question GETTING IPAD DEVICE ICON TO APPEAR IN CALIBRE TOOL BAR
I have Calibre on my MacBook air and want to know how I can get it to recognise my iPad automatically when I connect so that I can transfer books from Calibre to Blue Reader on my iPad without having to use iTunes. Can anyone help?

Calibre questions belong in the Calibre forum, and if you ask your question there, you'll get all the help you need. The "Introduce Yourself" forum, as its name suggests, is for introducing yourself. Tell us a bit about yourself, what your interests are, etc.

calibre will not recognize BlueFire Reader AFAIK, though there is a plugin that talks to Marvin/iBooks. But more on that in the calibre forums.
