M92 problem with file names
I have a rather surprising problem with my M92 (firmware 1.8 20131204)
I have a djvu file named something like "Author; Year; Title.djvu" (without the quotes, and the specific filename is not really important, I think.) I had no problem opening it at first. But since some day, I have no idea what happened, I cannot open it anymore: selecting it makes just the "please wait" wheel spinning. The strange thing is, if I rename even only one letter (eg. "author; Year; Title.djvu", I can open it again. What should I do? (my library follows a rather strict naming scheme, so I don't really want to change the title.) Thanks, Martin |

No, that doesn't seem to be the case. As I wrote, renaming it to something like "author; Year; Title.djvu" works. I think that at some point the software hit a bug (or battery was low or something like this), and the reader software cannot deal with some damaged information about the original title. Therefore, I deleted the .onyx directory in the corresponding directory, but this didn't help. Is there any other place where some information on opened files is stored. Should I try "factory reset"?

Hi,
"Factory reset" : I don't think so. I suppose that there are somewhere an other folder where the data are stored. What's happen if you use a name without space like this "Author_Year_Title.djvu" ? |

As far as I can see, any other file name will do. (As I wrote, it's even enough to change the first letter from "A" to "a"...)

Personally, I wouldn't use any semicolons in the name. If the ebook persistent data is being stored in a database, it's possible that the semicolon could screw up the command in some cases where the input isn't sanitized. Kind of like the famous XKCD comic where someone named their son "Robert'); DROP TABLE Students;--" and deleted the school's database. http://xkcd.com/327/. Maybe it's not the problem you're seeing now, but better safe than sorry.
