Send to Device Question
I have a Nook HD, and have noticed that when I choose Send to Device, I can only select the main memory. I have a 16 GB microSD card mounted in my Nook, but for some reason (I am guessing here) Calibre does not see my extended storage. Is there some setting I am missing in getting the Nook's SD card to be a send to option? Or is this not something actually related to Calibre at all? I'm getting close to running out of storage space in the main memory, but my SD card is almost totally empty still.

Your SD card is probably too large so the Nook firmware cannot expose it over the USB connection. Try a different smaller SD card. Or alternatively, use calibre's connect to folder feature to send books to the SD card using an SD card reader and then put the card into your Nook.

I think I have a smaller SD card somewhere and will try that tomorrow. I hadn't actually tried to send to memory via USB, just over the air. I do know if I am plugged in to my laptop via USB and just moving files with nothing to do with Calibre my SD card is viable through the Nook' interface. I'll try connecting via USB as well. Thanks. Fingers crossed!

I solved my own problem more or less. Poked around the forum a bit more and found the direct path to the SD card. I went under the settings in CC and tapped to change the location of my PDF books as I have a lot of large magazines. I entered the path to the SD card and tapped to move them to that location. Took about fifteen minutes but after checking my storage all the selected filed were moved to the SD card. It's not a direct solution but it'll work. Thanks again. I'm still going to try transferring via USB tomorrow and see if I can move them directly.

If you are using CC dont use USB. The two dont play well together. I was answering based on the asusmptiont hat you were using USB to transfer the files.

Got it. I was able to change my default save locations and move all my books to the card and I believe I can now directly add them to the SD card. I now have the option to change where files are sent by default, which I did not have before. Still find it odd I had to manually enter the path to get things to the location I wanted rather than browse for it, but its really just a small hiccup with a great program and application. Thank you again for your direction and feedback.
