Thumbs up Free (nook/Kindle/Kobo/iTunes) Erasmus Hobart & Golden Arrow [YA SF/Fantasy Comedy]

Erasmus Hobart and the Golden Arrow by Andrew Fish is a spoofy-looking kids/YA action British sf/fantasy romp starring the eponymous adventurous history teacher and his time-traveling privy*, free courtesy of publisher HarperCollins' Authonomy imprint.

Currently free @ B&N, Amazon & Kobo & iTunes (all three available to Canadians).

Description
In this time-travelling romp, Andrew Fish brings a new slant to the classic legend. Erasmus Hobart is the perfect new adventurer for fans of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

Robin Hood was a crook! But was he as good a crook as the legends suggest? That's what Erasmus Hobart – school teacher, history fanatic, time-traveller – wants to find out.

In this, his first adventure, Erasmus takes his time-travelling privy back to mediaeval Nottingham in his quest for knowledge. But with homicidal knights, amorous female outlaws and mischievous squirrels complicating his investigation, will he uncover the truth in time to get back and mark 4A's history homework?

* I have no idea whether or not this is intended to be some kind of meta-commentary/reference-nod to Doctor Who's TARDIS or not, but it looks like a fun idea anyway.

And there's something more egalitarian about the notion of a Porta-Potty as a venue for anchoring an advanced technological device† than, say, a DeLorean, which was not generally within the price range of the plebeian masses back when they were still being manufactured.

† Though maybe in this book, A Wizard Did It™.
