Search not filtering?

I'm accustomed to entering "author:whatever", or "series:whatever" in the search box, and having the results filtered. Now, with the above, it simply takes me to the first book matching my query.

How do I have the behaviour revert to what I'm used to, i.e. showing only those books which match my criteria? For example "author:koontz" would only display those books where the author field equalled "koontz"

I'm sure it's something simple, but it's evading me.

Not sure how that got toggled though, as I haven't added a new plug-in in ages.

@VelvetElvis - for reasons unknown it happens after updating to a new version of calibre, but only to a select few

I don't think anyone knows why because its a bit of a PITA to create a repeatable scenario.

It happens because of a few plugins that toggle that setting, IIRC, Find Duplicates is the main culprit.
