Format the ereader?

I can't seem to connect my Kobo Touch to my computer because the computer wants to format the reader first. If I say no, it wont recognize the Kobo Touch. If I say yes to formatting, it says it "Window was unable to complete the format".

Either way, my computer wont recognize the Kobo Touch. I've tried three different computers, downloaded the Kobo Desktop to each and still no luck.

Help.....

Have you tried a factory reset? This will get the Touch to do the format of the partition and hopefully fix it. If that doesn't work, it probably means the memory in the device is faulty. If you have either a N905B or N905C, you can replace the internal SD card with a new one to fix this.

I have done a factory reset numerous times with no luck. How do I know if I have the N905B or N905C?

Thanks for your help!

If you look on the bottom edge of the device the bottom line of the info at the right side has a model number. If it's just N905 that's an "A" model. Otherwise it will say "N905B" or "N905C".
