Hey everyone... I'm new to the boards so sorry if all these questions have been answered..

I just upgraded my K4 to a KPW2 and had some questions... I used Calibre to load books into my old Kindle and used it again with the PW2 but I'm noticing pretty much all my books now have a "Personal" tag on the cover on my menu screen and don't show up when I filter the menu to "Books", only shows up when filtered by "My items" . What does that mean and is there a way to remove it?

Also, I'm having some issues with collection organization... I used to sort all my books into collections and viewed the collections based off most recent. But I'm noticing the collections don't re-arrange by most recent and stay in alpha order.. is there a way to change that?

And lastly, I followed the jailbreaking directions in this thread:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=186645
And it seemed to have worked. I got the "jailbreak" sign at the bottom of the screen after I clicked the update button... but now I'm not really sure what to do. Super noob question, but what could I do with a jailbroken KWP2? If anyone can point me towards a thread or something with stuff I can do it would be greatly appreciated!

Any help on anything would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

@beebo-

1) When you converted your books originally in Calibre (I am assuming that you converted them and that you converted them to a mobi file) you likely had 'pdoc' in the Personal Doc Tag field (you will see this field under 'mobi output' in the conversion window. You will need to remove these books from your PW2 and then reconvert these books in Calibre, but when you do be sure to change that field to EBOK or even just leave the field blank. After this reconversion, the personal banner should be gone when you re-add them to your PW2. If you only have a PW now, you might consider converting these books and any new ones to a different format (such as AZW3)...there are pro's and con's to doing this so be sure to read up and ask questions.

Hint: You can change the Personal Doc Tag field to default to the new value for any new books you convert in the Preferences area of Calibre, however for any books you have already converted in Calibre you will need to manually change this setting in the conversion window.

2) I can't help you here as I don't use collections.

3) Check out the Developer's Corner subforum for a lists of hacks and information about them.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks GoSharks! Will definitely play around with Calibre formatting..

Another question... Don't know if it's related to formatting on Calibre... But I've noticed that there are some books that have chapter breaks in the progress bar that make it easy to skip between chapters and then there are some books that don't have those breaks. Is that something that can be formatted in Calibre? If so, how?

Thanks again!
