Red face Help with Calibre

Can anybody help me please. I've downloaded Calibre to enable me to put an ebook that I bought from Google Play onto my Kindle Fire. I've downloaded the book to my computer but when I try to open it with Calibre it just keeps adding it again to the calibre library and I can't open it. I'm a bit of a numpty with this sort of thing so I'm probably doing something really silly but I've been doing it for 2 days. I've looked on the Help section and in the manual but I'm no wiser. I did actually manage to open the manual.

So you click to highlight the book, click "View" button at top, and it re-downloads? That's very strange.

I'm not sure what's going wrong, but have you tried posting your question in the Calibre forum here? Their members know everything there is to know about Calibre.

Good luck!

Most books purchased from mainstream sites are encrypted (have "DRM") at the publishers insistence. We can't give instructions here at Mobileread on how to bypass DRM, so all I can suggest is that you search for "Apprentice Alf" for instructions.

Good luck!
