Keep getting Iliad Settings on bootup... why?

Hi all,

I've had this annoying problem since I think 2.10.2. Even 2.12 has this issue. In my Iliad Settings / Start-up Settings, I have selected Recent Documents, so in theory when I turn on the thing, I should get Recent Documents.

However, when I boot up, I get IDS Connect! And, get this: even with a wired connection, it will fail to connect to IDS at that point (although a manual push of the IDS button will get me a successful connection).

Finally, when it gives up trying to get to IDS, it falls into Recent Documents.

So... Boot up -> IDS -> Recent Documents.

Why? How can I stop this from happening?

Thanks,

--Rob

Your update process is probably not completed. Try to update again, and let the iLiad reconnect until its not trying anymore, the try to update again, until it says "nothing to download". After that you should be fine.

Thanks, that was the issue. When I saw it trying to connect and failing (even with a wired connection) whenever it booted up, I guess I felt that... I don't know... its little heart wasn't in it?

Thanks again,

An answer to another little problem I'd been meaning to ask - cool! I upgraded to 2.12 yesterday and my iLiad froze after unpacking the new Chinese font. I eventually reset it when it was clear it wasn't going to finish, but obviously the iLiad had other ideas
