Question Won't read Fire HD library

Hi there. I am a calibre newbie and I am having troubles. I have calibre set up on my computer and updated to the latest version.

Prior to the update I was able to read my library on my Fire HD 8.9. However, now with the update I cannot. Is there something I need to change the setting on? Am I missing something?

I am able to read the libraries on my touch and basic.

Should I just uninstall the update and try the old version again?

I do believe that my fire received some sort of update from Ammy -- I think this because two nights ago I was having issues with my cloud (I would tap a book to download from the cloud and the cover would disappear and the book to its right would move into its place, tap that cover and it would disappear and the book to its right move into its place, over and over. Once that stopped I went to photo's and there was a "Cloud" introduction and I had to tap through some screens (telling me I can use my phone and facebook to add to the cloud).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

I suspect that Fire update did something bad and Calibre is just fine.
