Question Downloading Calibre

I am a very elderly Calibre user but do not know how to download all available books since January 2011.
Can somebody please help a technophobe?

This does not sound like a Calibre Question

Download from Where?
Mobil Read? (I can move this thread, if yes. Ask )
Project Gutenberg?

Darknet (don't ask here . It is against the rules)

What do you mean by "download all available books"?

Cool jenray

I am an elderly "technophobe"
Will somebody please tell me how to down load all new books on Calibre to my computer.

My list finishes at January 2011 and I would so like to be able to download all books since then.

I am unable to read normal books with my failing eye-sight but can manage on my i-pad.

Thank you.

You mean that you want to transfer all the new books that are in your Calibre library to your reader?

That's easy. Sort the library listing by date (just click on the "Date Added" column header), then select the books that interest you, right click, and select "Send to Device".

That shows how technophobic I am.I thought that Calibre had its own library that it added to it every so often. So where do I go to put books on to Calibre?
Sorry I'm so dim but was born in Edmonton in 1928!!

Easiest way is to drag and drop the ebook file *.epub for example to the calibre GUI.

Lots of other ways of course but this is the simplest and fastes IMO.

Calibre is an Empty book case to start. Just like your dead tree collection

You add the books: Paid or Free

Unlike your dead tree Library, calibre book shelf is never too small (at least as long as you have disk space available). And also unlike your dead tree collection, the book is always filed where you put it and never mis-laid in really odd places.

One place for books not on the list above, is right here at Mobil Read

Probably right.

Many libraries have links to free non DRMed books and or host some of their own.

My mother who is 87 and lives an a very small town gets help from her librarian in this area.
