Sleeve for PRS-350

In my novice sewing/stitching experience I'm going to attempt to make a sleeve for my PRS-350.

Any sewers out there have recommendations on how much beyond the size of the reader I should measure? I'm basically just planning on hand stitching it and then creating a top that will fold over. If I get ambitious I might get a button to keep the flap closed.

my suggestion would be to allow for 1/4" width on either side of your sleeve. Maybe cut it 1/2" wider for either side and allow for a 1/4 seam allowance?

Measure the circumference of the reader. IE thickness x 2 + width x 2. And make it a bit larger than the between the seams. It depends on how tight you would like it to be. And don't forget, that once you sew, you will turn inside out, so the excess material will be inside with the reader.

I would think adding an inch on all sides to your measurements would work for seam allowance and enough room for the reader

My suggestion is to measure the 350 with a cover and make the sleeve to fit the 350 and cover.

I'd recommend a square of Velcro rather than a snap button. Snap buttons mean pressure, which could crack your screen.
