New SlideMe App
There's a new interface for the SlideMe market. You can download it to your PE/EE through a browser with: http://www.slideme.org/sam.apk.
I am lagging behind most of you by not having installed any version of Allmine on my PE, so I don't have the Google Android Market. Wanting to upgrade my ES File Explorer, I went to the Amazon Appstore, but they gave me a message about my having gotten the original ES File Explorer from somewhere else so they couldn't help me. I next tried SlideMe. They required the above upgrade to their SAM app first, but then recognized my File Explorer and allowed me to update it.  I like that SlideMe gives a compatibility checker for its apps. I also like the look of the new marketplace. So if you still hunt for apps outside Google and Amazon, check it out!

SlideME is great. They accept PayPal as well. Here are a couple of other good App Stores:

you can install the android market on your EE, ihave it on mine and it is awesome
and it was very easy to do

although not all apps show (because of the no caching process
 ).. but isnt it an evolution for now??

The reference you gave is talking about the Pocket Edge (PE) not the full sized eDGe (EE) so which device do you have PE or EE?

i have the EE and it was working fine... i even had the paid apps show up
