Is it possible to convert, but bypass adding to library?

I would like to add some documents to my KindleDX, which entails converting them to kindle format and delivering them. I would not like to add all these documents to my library, send them, then delete them. Is it possible to add documents to the kindle and bypass the step of adding them to the library?

I know I can email them through amazon, but I am a student and my budget is such that I don't want to pay the fees if I can avoid them.

Thanks!

You can do that through the command line. The 'ebook-convert' tool will convert the input file to the requested format and nothing else. Then drag-and-drop the resulting file to your Kindle the normal way. Or use 'ebook-device', I guess, although I never have used that so I don't know what the pluses of that are, if any.
