Account sync problem

Hey guys!

I have bought PocketBook IQ 701 and everything seems to be working fine, except one important feature. When i'm trying to add an account in Accounts and Sync it simply doesnt allow me to.

Here is how i'm doing it (in case somewhere in my actions i'm messing myself up):

Accounts and sync settings -> auto-sync on, Background data on -> Add account -> entering my gmail e-mail adress and password (both are correct obviously =p) - > it displays \email adress without @gmail.com, my password and gmail.com as an exchange server. Use secure connection on, accept all ssl certificates on -> and here a message "setup couldnt finish, unable to open connection to server" comes. And thats its.

Switching background data or auto-sync on and off doesnt help; switching accept all certificates on/off doesnt help. Rebooting device doesnt help either. Obviously, it is connected to internet as browser displayes various sites. So, I'm lost and am seeking help. If somebody could give me a tip as to where to look at, it will be much appreciated.

If you're running 2.1.1 try going back to 2.06 2.1.1 is buggy in the wifi area.
