Recommended cover for Kindle 4 NT
Evening all,
Can anyone recommend me a decent cover / case for the Kindle 4? I bought my Kindle in a bundle from Amazon.co.uk which included a leather case from a seller called Technet . The case was delayed for a few days so I've been using the Kindle on its own. The case has now arrived, but putting he Kindle in it transforms it from a nice slim device that is easy to hold and feels good in the hands to something that is now rather bulky and awkward to get to the buttons n the device. I was planning on just using the case while transporting the Kindle, but it's also fiddly to get the thing in and out. Overall, I'm not happy with the ase... So, can anyone recommend me a decent case or cover available in the UK? I have also ordered some stick-on screen protectors as my main concern is avoiding scratches on the screen. I don't plan on doing huge amounts of travelling with it, but I do throw it into my jacket pocket to take in to work each day for lunchtime reading. Rob |

For reference, this is the case that came in my bundle:-

That's the same one I got for my son's K4SO. I'm glad I'm not the only one not totally pleased with it. Still, it'll do for now, until his lighted cover comes in.

I already started a thread (albeit for a cheap cover) at;

From your post is sounds like a case might not really be what you are after, as they'll pretty much all turn your light, slim Kindle into something more bulky. If it's just to offer some protection while in transport, perhaps some kind of sleeve cover that you remove when you are using your Kindle would be better? Especially if you are just going to be carrying it in your jacket pocket and not shoving it at the bottom of a bag full of other stuff.
If you are near a Tesco, it might be worthwhile and going to have a look and see what they have available instore. That'll maybe help you choose between a case and a sleeve. My mum ended up buying one of the M-edge Trip covers on a trip to Tesco (possibly not as heavy/bulky as the leather covers?). Here's the link for the Kindle 4 version on Amazon. There are usually Belkin Grip Sleeves & Built Neoprene Sleeves available instore at Tesco too. I personally use a silicone skin cover (found easily and for a few quid on ebay), and when I take it to work with me, it goes in an E-volve sleeve that I got for £8 on Amazon. Unfortunately, they haven't released a smaller version for the new Kindles so it would be a bit big for yours. |
