Organize sideloaded books by series

I figured out how to group side-loaded books by series, just like books purchased through the amazon store. it requires a jailbroken kindle, ssh access (I used KOReader) and a bit of technical knowledge. full instructions are in the repo: https://github.com/mlapaglia/kindle-series-manager

This is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm not the most knowledgeable about python scripts or even kindle hacking, though, can I ask a few questions?

Mostly, I see that I need to move my cc.db to local and run the python script with it, but what about other factors such as calibre metadata? Is that the file on my kindle called "metadata.calibre"? How do I stop/start ccat?

Could a plugin be created for calibre to manage series on a jailbroken Kindle?

I converted it into a web app. install the extension in the extensions folder then start the web server on the kindle and access it from your pc/phone

This could possibly be extended to run on the device and parse the series from metadata.calibre" JSON file (or that JSON file that Kindle Collections Calibre plugin creates and sends to Kindle) and auto-create all series that books currently on the device belong to.

it's running on the device already, open up KUAL and click "start web server". idk enough about the calibre metadata file though. PRs welcome

"Automagically" populating the information on a button press would be nicer experience than manually doing stuff via web ui.

Added dark mode, ability to edit series, and the ability to control the "KU" and "PR" badges for a series.

added goodreads progress tracking. whenever you open or close a book it updates goodreads with the mapped book's page progress.

currently only works for books that are already in "reading" status, and you need to use the email login method for goodreads, amazon or apple don't work yet.

I added the ability to maintain the kindle's screensavers, add, remove, etc.

I added the ability to upload books through the web ui, and also re-wrote the screensaver to use fbink so malformed wallpapers don't crash/bootloop the kindle. more info here https://kindle-series-manager.readth...eensavers.html
