Opening WiFi

I have done the update.zip thing and all is fine at home, but at school when I connect to WiFi, I have to input my username and password.

When I type in my username and hit the return button, I am again presented with the prompt for my username and password. I cannot get the username to "stick".

Help?

Hi danhughes and welcome!

Have you tried entering your user name, then tapping in the password field and entering there without hitting the return button? If you can't see the password line there is usually a hide-keyboard button that will lower the keyboard until you tap in a text field again.

If that doesn't help there were some posts a while back about school WiFi systems being different and how to get into them. I could probably find the old threads if you think you need them.

Thanks, Filark. I found that if I tapped next to my sign-in name rather than on the keyboard, I got through to the next step. So I'm in now.
