There are many different manufacturers to produce e-readers,
they have different types, different functions and different drms. When you're considering buying a ebook, it's a good idea to make sure whether it has drm protection, what type the drm is, So you can know whether your ebook drm match the reader. before this step we have to look at how many drms there are and what exactly they are?do anyone know some about e-book drms and e-reader ?

Good to have your company, Sandy. Several publishers and many independent authors strongly oppose DRM padlocks.
You don't list a reading device, but even if you are still ebook-reading on a PC or laptop, it's an idea to download the excellent and free Calibre Library software (http://www.calibre-ebook.com) What you'll find is not only the best library management software available (thousands here at MobileRead and more than a million others swear by it), but among its features is a section called 'Get Books'. There you will find clearly marked those publishers and titles that don't carry any form of DRM. Luck, happy e-reading and best wishes. Neil |

Don't quite understand you last question, Sandy. If you mean software to convert other formats to ePub, Calibre (as I mentioned before) is your huckleberry. Luck and bestests. Neil
