Issue with M90 - device stops reacting
Greetings,
I have a question concerning my boox M90. May be someone here can give me a good advice about it. It happened four times already that my M90 stopped reacting while I was reading a book in a pdf format (approx 4 mb, no pictures, firmware: 1.5.1). I thought that the battery was empty, but the charge indicator shows that the battery is 80% full. Still, if I recharge the device for an hour it starts working again. Once it happened when M90 was connected to the desktop and windows made a message "the system cannot recognize the usb device". Any help or advice how to fix this problem is greatly appreciated ![]() |

I can't help you, but I can tell you that this has also happened to me several times. I can't recall if it was a PDF or an ePub.
Generally, resetting it will make it function again. On rare occasions I have had to connect it to my Mac via USB to wake it back up. |

Here is the new chapter of the story. It just died: it shows the welcome screen, empty start bar and that is it.
I live in Netherlands and the device was bought in US. Does anybody know if it is possible by any chance to have it fixed somewhere in Europe? |

(I had my Onyx Boox 60 repaired there; good service. They even gave me status updates in Dutch.) |

Sounds like your battery died. Mine died yesterday as well. A few hours of charging on the wall charger should revive it.

leave it charge for 3-6 hours. just plug it in in the morning and walk away. come back to it after dinner.

Well, it 'officially' died on my hands this morning. Does not react to anything. The seller (onyxboox.com) told me that the problem is in the firmware and I needed to install the new one (1.6.0) to fix all the bugs. But I can't start the whole update process when the device is dead. Hopefully Germans will fix it
