Hey man, I am sorry and not to be mean if english is not your native language but...
I have no idea what you are asking about and no clue what you are trying to accomplish. 22 other people have looked as well and I am guessing are also a bit confused. Can you please be more specific so people can try to understand what you want to do? |

No, I am afraid that Calibre does not (currently at least) support what you want. You can only produce a single format from running a recipe before you change the output format.

And then send both formats to his or her kindle at the same time. This part I think can be done, but I know nothing about recipes, so don't go by me.

I don't use the news recipe functionality so am not sure if its possible but if you can specify the format in the recipe you can make a duplicate recipe with a different name that should allow you to get what you want.
But calibre will download everything twice. |

One option is to use the ebook-convert command line tool to make different formats, then add them to Calibre. |

Either use the command line as starson suggests or have two calibre installs, one for each format.

Can the two installs:
1) share the same library while both are running? (I assume no - it would be like two different computers simultaneously accessing the same library. Does Calibre detect itself in memory and affirmatively prevent this on a single computer?) 2) share the same library only when running separately? (This would seem to work OK - different config directories for the two installs.) 3) never share the same library? (Can you then run simultaneously?) Inquiring minds want to not screw things up. ![]() |

calibre will not allow you to run two copies of itself in the same computer. When I say two installs, the two installs would have to be on different computers.
