Acces to e-mail via Pocket Edge

When I try to send or receive e-mails from my PocketEdge I get an error message (K9mail internal) about Java Net. It says: Network unreachable caused by Java.Net. And when I go to the website from Java Net it tells me they have ended by ultimo December. Anyone knows what this is all about?

I use k9 email perfectly, not the version supplied with it, uninstall that and install latest from market of k9 page.

Two things, which version of the operating system is on your PE and have you tried any other e-mail program?

Have you checked your e-mail and WiFi settings? This may be the cause of your problem - trying to access an e-mail server that is non existent.

On my full size eDGe I use the standard Froyo Email app without any problems.

The best way to get apps is to download the apk file to your PC and transfer it from there to a USB stick and install from the stick on your PE - the added advantage in doing it this way is that you have a backup of the app on the PC should you need it.

I didn't try an other e-mail program, my wifi is functioning alright, the email first gifs the error messages when checking email and when sending email, but after a while it is alright and the email is send and recieved.

This sounds more like a problem with your mail server rather than a problem with the Edge.

I suggest you upgrade to ermine rc3 from pablob.
it is working perfect, also the email. working market.

The next time you receive the error try pressing the MENU button and select Check mail to try again.
