Some "water waves" appeared on my nook's touchscreen when I slid it.Another thing is that, when the time of loading a web page overed the setting of "Touchscreen timer",the touchscreen would "play dead"(got black) and wouldn't be activated by touching any more.I had to reboot it.
I'm sure there's something wrong with my nook's touchscreen. Was I the first one to confront this kind of problems? |

I'm confused...Water wave?....Web page? (the touch doesn't have a browser)....touchscreen time? (what's that?).

I think he's referring to the touch screen on the original nook. Touch screen time, I think is referring to the amount of time you can set your screen to before it times out. 10 secs. 30 secs. 1min. but I'm with you, water wave?
To the OP can you take a picture and post it? |

Why are you confused, mark. He's talking about the bottom panel of the Classic nook.
On my classic, I sometimes am not able to reactivate the bottom panel, evenbwith repeated pokes. However, under these conditions, I have always been able to reactivate it by pressing the Nook symbol ahove it (the n). I suggest you try that instead of rebooting. If that does not work, there is definitely something wrong with your nook. Last edited by RAH; 06-07-2011 at 10:53 AM. |

There's another way to reactivate the bottom panel after it has gone dark while you are reading - if you press the power button at the top of the Nook once quickly, it will not make the Nook go to sleep, it will just reactivate the bottom panel. I know this because when I am finished reading, I usually want to put my Nook to sleep immediately (without having it wait for the time-out), but when I push the power button, it always take me 2 pushes - the first just activates the bottom panel, the 2nd gets it to go to sleep.

In general, without touching, nook's touchscreen first decreases its brightness, then goes full of dark.
But I find it skip the prior step in browser-it goes dark as soon as time out. I use wifi-locker to keep touchscreen on provisionally,so that "time out" will never. Last edited by Bezier; 06-07-2011 at 10:18 PM. |
